While the game against Chesterfield was a setback after the unexpected resurgence during the previous five games, there is still hope, and the objective must be to keep that chance of avoiding relegation going into the last game when anything can happen. To that end, a win, would guarantee that as two of the three teams that we are able to catch, Aldershot and York play against each other tomorrow. The third, Maidenhead, are on a poor run of form and have a tricky game against Barnet, a team looking to secure a home fixture in the first of their play-off games. Finally, I’ll be cheering for a Wrexham win where they can secure both the title and promotion and perhaps not be quite on it next week akin to Torquay playing away at Chippenham the following week after securing the National League South title a few years back. It is the hope that kills you! Too little too late I think. Relegation will not be because of today and next Saturday it will be because of consistently poor performance throughout the season and a failure of management to address it at both board and team level. At board level my fear is that their inaction is deliberate. I just know though that Torquay won't put us out of our misery today and will keep it going for another week! Sadistic sods! 😉⚽️

So many permutations: can we rise to the occasion…will we return home from Altrincham with our tail wagging or between our legs…will Wrexham secure promotion today or will their season drag on…so many permutations in fact, that the match will be over before I could mention them all!
This is TUFC of course, and the amount of times that victory has been torn from our grasp doesn’t bear mentioning…so I won’t mention it. 🐻

Winning the Wrexham game, staying up and taking them off the top spot now that would be something, but if we don’t get something today and we’re already relegated…oh dear, we ain’t gonna be beating no Wrexham! 🐉

Moxey tweaks something in warmup, replaced by Wyatt with Crowe on to bench.
Would have thought Omar would have been the obvious replacement on left side of back three. Not sure what Wyatt is, but he is not a centre back.
