I believe GJs loyalty to Asa Hall and Dean Moxey may well have influenced his decision to dive in and sign the young and inexperienced players that have failed to impress or develope. Both injury prone and missing in crucial periods of the season. If Dawson had been signed at the start of the season i dont believe we would be in this position and it took far too long for the manager to act as he continued bringing in hordes of untried young players on loan. That's whats cost us our place in NL. Only Jarvis has made a real impact the Wyatt's, Donelan's, MacGavin, Marshall, Hanson's, Crowe have been nothing more than a frustrating drain on resources. Its been a patch up job from day one with players missing from the off through long term injury and we've looked weak and vulerable in every department.. Two or three experienced quality players, a solid core, for that lot and it could have been so different . I wonder and fear where this club will be five tears down the line.

We haven’t failed, we all knew we could never compete with the big spenders (if the Hollywood people had decided to buy us instead of Wrexham we’d be top) and our only remit was to stay in the National League, which if we win our next two games we have managed just that. Our only hope of future promotions is if we get relegated first!
What does the future hold, well not even I know that, but I do know that anyone with even an ounce of nouse is aware that without Sharkey our future would be somewhat grimmer than it is now!

Although everyone with an ounce of nous will recall us not being as low as National League South in their lifetimes prior to him being here.
I’ve only ever seen his association with sporting ventures take one particular overall trajectory. Hopefully we will be the exception to the rule. Relegation and not engaging with the Club’s support don’t, however, bode well.
As long as we still have Plainmoor after he has gone, we should be ok eventually.

Exactly this - from 1927 until 2007 we coped easily as a Football League club apart from when Dave Webb was in charge and the frequent flirtations under Mike Bateson, which ought to have been avoidable. It is when. Ownership has been basket case that we have suffered such as Roberts and then the collapse of the consortium in 2014, leaving us vulnerable to the calamity that has befallen us since our second relegation from the EFL. Only with Clarke Osborne have we fallen even further and now a second time could be confirmed on Saturday. This can’t be a coincidence and bearing in mind what happens to every other sporting venture he sinks his claws into, why should we expect anything different. Let’s hope the council never grant him the freehold.

If you don’t go down first, you have no chance of getting up! 🦦
