While we coming into this game on the back of three wins, there is no slack and we desperately need another win to close the gap on the final place above the relegation zone. Thankfully things are starting to click with options on the bench as well. COYY TUFC match preview

I did predict that this game would be significant a few weeks back, and as the days of errors are now over, it might well prove to be just that.

Afternoon out enjoying the sunshine or stuck inside anxiously watching the livestream?
I know what the sensible answer is, but I have never been able to be sensible and rational when it comes to Torquay United.
Come on you Yellows!
Equally importantly, come on Eastleigh!

Fairly even first half.
Nathaniel-George (remember him?) causing us problems.
A quality but simple goal divides the sides.
Donnellan fed Stobbs, good cross, good Jarvis header.
Aldershot 3-1 down.

Great win, but those goals for Aldershot and Dorking are hammer blows.
Aldershot’s next game at home to already relegated Scunny.
Looks like 50 points might not be enough!
Good news that Wrexham won. We will need something from the last game so will help if they have spent the previous week celebrating.

Big, big 1-3 away win. Yeovil lost to Dorking and look pretty down and out. I now have my eye on Aldershot, York and Maidenhead ad possible teams to catch. Six points behind the latter two although we have a game in hand on both and play York of course next week, then Aldershot and Notts.

I think we all know where this is all heading don't we?
Another excellent, unexpected result and performance from a really motivated set of players. We had to work hard for it and one or two of their players caused us a few problems, Nathanial George being potentially the biggest threat down the left. How he only got half a game with us is another one of those mysteries well never find out about. Great to see Frank on the scoresheet he's as hungry for it as any of them and that's a huge bonus. Fantastic cross for the first goal and the sort of ball we've been missing from wide areas all season. The second a super lob from Frank Nouble. The third, Frank again with a near post tight angled shot that fizzed past the keeper. Shame they got that consolation goal - a mistake in midfield, Hall I think a bit ponderous in the challenge and a free run on goal for their forward to stroke past Halstead. I got nervous then even with a cushion and 20 minutes remaining. History tells me never to count chickens even with a two goal cushion but we saw the game out comfortably and professionally. Not sure what t think any more we still need to win more games to stand any chance and have some tough ones to finish the season but we have a chance, a chance we all thought could never happen. Aldershot's point at Eastleigh was a blow but all we can do is keep believing and hope the winning form continues. At least were lookin up at our next targets now unlike a fortnight ago and the belief has returned in abundance...

Great second goal, and had it been scored by someone in the premiership, Garry and the Luvvies would be extolling its virtues for years to come!
Do we have a case of ‘Carry on Sergeant’ happening at Plainmoor? 🤔
