Dear god i cannot wait for this miserable bloody season to end whatever league we end up in. Watching these torturous inept performances mixed with the odd glimmer of false hope is really depressing. Cant fault the effort we tried but the simple basics of defending let us down big time again as the old early season habits re emerged and raised their ugly heads. We knew deep down that humble little part time Dorking do us over though didnt we? Macgavin sad to say is far to ponderous for this level a passenger at times. Feel for the little quality we do have in Jarvis, lapsley and on loan Lawrence who is a class or three above this lot. Still in touch but what an opportunity missed. Simply unacceptable.
Edit: for the fellow masacists. Dorking first . Defence asleep down the right acres of space to pass to forward who has a free hit. 1-0. Second goal moxey out paced winger down the right, crosses to unmarked tall guy 2-2. Dorking winner Macgavin outpaced down right, winger crosses to tall guy 3-2 . in between we score two good goals but not enough to cover up thedefensive inadequacies.

It looks as though the NL South is beckoning again. The problem is, there won't be the likes of Hall, Cameron, Wynter or the four lads from Bristol City to come in and get the club out of it again.

Red card changed the game. No doubt about that at all. Although think I would have sacrificed De Silva rather than Fadahunsi and agreed as much with company at the time. Totally understand the opted for two banks of four. Was always going to happen at some point. Doing so as quickly as we did seemed to smack of panic to me and transmitted to the players of both sides almost immediately.
Couldn’t see the sending off as terrible ground for visibility for the away ‘end’. Long journey home for Evans. Winning a 6 pointer 2-1 and in the ascendancy for once and gets sent off near the half way line. I don’t see him regaining a starting place after his ban.
If we are to get out of this, us watching know that Hanson, McGavin, Crowe, Wyatt and Omar will offer next to nothing to that cause. And Lapslie, Jarvis, Halstead, Donnellan, Lawrence and a fit Hall would offer plenty. Fadahunsi and De Silva might offer a bit. There just isn’t enough talent to build around the useful ones. Absolutely no faith that there will be a reshuffling to get some decent additions. What looked like a good night in the making as our second went in, went downhill fast.
Halstead 8 Donnellan 5.5 Lawrence 7 Marshall 4.5 Moxey 4 De Silva 4 Lapslie 8 McGavin 3 Evans 3 Fandahunsi 6 Jarvis 8.5
The threes are generous. Ref was an irritant. And looked like a dreadful miss by Fadahunsi in the first half.

Spot on. Go down and we will probably find that is our level for years to come, or worse if the owner decides to pull the plug. Strange to think that, as I'm sure will be the case, Johnson walks at the end of the season, he will probably leave us in the same sorry state we were in when he arrived.

🙂 Well that put a smile on my face! 🙂
Looking at the statistics of Dorking (seven losses on the bounce, only one goal scored during that period (or somit like that)) there was ever only going to be one outcome to this game…a win for Dorking and a lot of goals!
Still, it makes the rest of the season even more exciting! 🦍
