Dave I hope you get really pissed mate, the forum might even arrange a collection thread to help you celebrate, mind you it may well be the case you will have to use it to drown your sorrows while I will look back on a season of good entertaining football and look forward to the next one, whatever league we will be playing in.

Just because Dave Shaw doesnt think Buckle is up to the job, it certainly doesnt mean that he doesnt want the best for TUFC, in fact it probably means the opposite, he wants someone better.
Opinions amongst fans concerning leroy are totally divided, some think he was a great manager some think he was rubbish.
so why cant opinions on Buckle be equally as divided?
I personally think Dave Shaw is wrong and Buckle is doing a great job, but i wont berate him for having a differant opinion to me.

Jim I'm sure you are right mate, but is Buckle only going to be judged if he gets the team promoted? this is the hardest league to get out off and failure to do so after only one or two seasons, does not mean that Bucks is not up to the job.

Dave, thanks for the whip round offer but i think those of you still living in england will need it more than me.
Hey up Jim, i'll look forward to debating the Buckle years with you mate. Hopefully from a loftier position than an also ran team in this pub league!

Albeit that the Brewers look likely to be on top, this is no pub league, as you well know.

Dave R, anyone who knows me (even merse) will tell you i'm a Torquay fan thro and thro. I will be gutted if we don't get promoted. To suggest i will get any ego massaging pleasure from us not doing it is just stupid. So, i don't believe Buckle has got it. Please let me be wrong and i will be bouncing around Thailand with delight. The only thing i miss about england is TUFC and i want success for us. So don't ever question my loyalty to the cause. I want us out of this crap league. I have to echo dave's comments here. He would gain no pleasure in saying "I told you so". He is a commited and loyal fan and although he may have differring opinions to soem, I welcome them and believe it is valuable. He is gutted when we lose and will be the first to say "I got it wrong"

jamie as I said I fully believe Dave is all you say and really wants the club to get promoted, but I still think that Bucks should not be judged only on if we go up or not. Dave Shaws views are always very welcome, I just don't agree with some of them.

For those of you that don't know Thailand. Soi Nana is Bangkoks version of Soho. Not quite sure what you're inferring but no i live in Kamala which is in Phuket. You really wouldn't want Champagne from here Dave, you can't get good wine here. Maybe a crate of Chang so you can experience the world famous Changover!

[/glow] Now there lies an interesting question? One I fear, should it happen, could potentially divided the support more than the Leroy one.

No probs WG. Nana is an eye opener eh?! Apologies for the slightly defensive reply, but i had some sick pm's from one of our more neanderthal posters a while back because i wouldn't conform.
By the time we play our next league game, most of our rivals will have played at least 2. We will most likely be out of the playoff spots by then. Unacceptable! Buckle has failed to win 7 out of 14 home games. Much worse than any of our near rivals. This will be our downfall if he doesn't get his act together. He's had all the support of our fantastic board and still not done the job. The blame will lie squarely on his shoulders if we don't at least get to the playoff final. Once there, then yes it's a lottery. But minimum requirement now after he's already blown auto is the final.

Met a great girl there called Mai, we became very close and shared a lot together...............Gonorrhoea, Herpes! On the football side of things we now have to accept Burton are this years Aldershot. In my opinion though, we are the best of the following pack. So a play-off place is assured!
