As hard as it hurts me to say, ECFC were the best of the four teams in the playoffs. It goes to show that playing football the way its meant to be played, is still the best way.

Hard to disagree with it to be honest...it's going to hurt much as it will have for them when they were non-league and we were still in League Two, but we'll be back soon!

When we played them there is no doubt that Buckle was tactically outclassed by Tisdale but, in all honesty, at the start of the season we were the best team in the division, many Aldershot fans even concede that. I know that our style was direct and unattractive but no other team could have gone and outclassed Aldershot like we did on the second matchday. Exeter, up until they beat us 4-3 were rather average and were languishing in about 10th. They were quite good in the second half of the Season but not better than we had been in the first. In the playoff's however, i concede that they were better and deserved to beat us.

I fully agree to a point, except being that we only played one way, teams worked how to play against us. City were able to change their style, if could have been able too, then we could have kept teams guessing how to play against us

Try living in a town on the outskirts of Exeter and working there every day. With Torquay stickers emblazened over the car and wearing my Torquay shirt. Oh and a flag in the garage window to wind up all the neighbours (all exeter fans) for the whole season when it was such fun, however after THE game, they stopped outside my house, got out of their Cars and did a city jig for ages. If ever there was justifyable cause for a negligent discharge of a firearm, that was it.
That said, have to agree (through very gritted teeth) they did deserve it
