When the BNA uploads 1977 Heralds I will let you know if Dave Thomas reported such detail. As promised, Pete:

Fantastic, thanks Jon. So we know Jim Hall didn't hoof it forward but it is still possible that he passed it back from the kick off; and we also know that he wasn't booked. Interesting that the ref said " no more than" 6 seconds. Could have been fewer...

I was at that game 45 years ago ! My memory tells me that first Kruse goal was at the Babbacombe end but does anyone think differently ?

It was actually a cracking goal, and left the keeper with no chance…not that he was expecting it of course!

Yes, I agree, I had a restricted view from my gate but I recall him looping his header over Lee at the Mini stand end.

Does not sound like any proof needed for Rags, but for any doubters the picture below from the first half clears it up. Webster has the Grandstand behind him, so is clearly defending the Babbacombe End. So Terry Lee was definitely defending the Ellacombe End in the first half. Pity he didn't start defending it six seconds earlier.
