I remember this game well. This was when Roy McFarland’s team was just starting to come together and the formation of what would be the bedrock of Leroy's promotion-winning team was put in place. I remember how well Lee Canoville was starting to play plus we had Hazel and Woozley in defence and the holy trinity of Fowler/Russell/Graham taking shape. I think we went quite a few games without conceding a goal around this time and had a live 0-0 draw away at Exeter on local TV and although Roy McF left at the end of the year, he deserves credit for the signings he made.
