Regardless of the result, let’s hope that some/all of the money is spent on recruiting experienced players to get us off the bottom of the table. Reported on the other site that we are about to enter 8 games in 26 days. Time for Olaf and Moyse to be called back. If we beat Derby and the win the next game to set up an away game at Manchester City, then I’ll buy Jon a curry, if we don’t… Decent wedge of dosh that we have missed out on in recent years. Hampton must be kicking themselves, 2 up with 20 minutes left… |

So playing Man City away in the third round is not beyond possibility…beyond reality maybe! To that end I think it’s time to have a chat with Mr Hill and hand over a couple of notes. I think it could also be time for Chelston to put his hand down the back of the Sofa…he might need the money in the future. |

Plus added attendance income although away club gets 50% of match receipts minus costs.* Plus £41,000 if we win (we got £9,375 for beating H&R). * The FA rules state: The net gate receipts due from a match shall be the total ticket sales for the match less VAT, the travelling (and possibly accommodation) expenses of the Visiting Club, the fees and expenses of the Match Officials, and other match expenses allowed under the Competition Rules (which include costs relating to gate attendants, turnstile operators, stewards, police charges, floodlighting in accordance with the Competition Rules, contributions to the costs of First Aid Helpers and any costs relating to clearing the ground of snow and water provided the Visiting Club is consulted beforehand on the approximate costs). |

Suggested that we will play 4-4-2 with McGavin wide left. This was what the commentators suggested at the start of the game. Turns out that we actually started 3-5-2 with De Silva at left-wing-back and then switched to 4-3-3 in the second half with Moxey orthodox left-back, De Silva to the right and Goodwin to the left of Jarvis up front .... until De Silva walked. |
