Definitely something not right about our perennial injury problems. Hope the club is looking into this.

Listened to the club radio commentary as I couldn't find Radio Devon on the internet. Don't know who he is, but what a terrible commentator!

I think we also have the worst disciplinary record in the division..which compounds the problem.

So the magic of the FA Cup happens again…the underdogs won!
Ironically, with the help of the referee this time. Some lunatic on this site has been ranting on about changing the formation for ages, and as soon as we do we win…albeit a forced change!
So could this now be the meteoric rise of TUFC/will the gaffer realise that change can be good/will Jon mention Moxey in his next post…I’ll give you one God damn guess! 🤔

I feel there's a common pattern regarding our continuing injury issues and also linked to our current dreadful disciplinary record.
1. A small limited squad means we cannot rotate players who may be carrying knocks. Basically they have to play and are sometimes brought back too soon.
2. Its a physical league and one or two of our first choice are prone to recurrent injuries due to age or historical injuries that undoubtedly effect their form and fitness.
3. The style and tempo of the managers game demands a high tempo committed effort from every player.
I feel this is the main culprit to injuries and suspensions. Nous and old fashioned know how in games has been poor, positional sense, defending and basic technique etc but you cant say the players are not commited or putting in the effort.
When you look back over GJ's time here the injury situation has always been pretty dreadful. With the demands on such a small and less talented squad, some who are not the greatest natural athletes and who overcommit physically, we ultimately pay the price in suspensions and long injury lay offs.
Wouldn't be surprised if our playing style also played a part in some of our, higher profile departures.
As regard Halstead noone has given a reason why he couldn't see out of one eye. That sounds potentially serious to me unless it was because he took a knock that made it swell.

So having got over the first hurdle (just) we now have the second hurdle to get over, and I don’t mean Derby County…I mean the madness of Plainmoor!
How many will Elf n Safety let in…2000/3000/at a push 4000? Personally, I would give Derby fans the away end (obviously) and the entire Bristows Bench, because if we don’t, there will be a lot of empty spaces around.
Moving on from madness to total madness…paying to get in at the turnstiles. What that nonsense is all about I have no idea. Is it going to happen to catch the unwary traveler…fat chance.

Nobody has actually said Halstead couldn't see out of one eye except for Johnson in his post-match interview which implied that there was some sort of subterfuge going on. What, if we only had one keeper on the bench H&R would have tried to kick Lovett off the pitch? I am bemused by most of our manager's interviews, he seems to talk absolute guff or contradict himself at every opportunity. If we talk all week that our (hypothetical) best player is injured, put him on the bench and then bring him on with 20 minutes gone, that is subterfuge (and a waste of a substitution). But I really cannot see how H&R were in any way bothered about us having a sub keeper on the bench.

Pleased to get the win but the match stats look pretty dreadful....... Having listened with my head under the blankets and nearly having the speakers blown apart by the commo team when we scored the only match stat that I was ultimately bothered about was the score.

Regardless of the result, let’s hope that some/all of the money is spent on recruiting experienced players to get us off the bottom of the table.
Reported on the other site that we are about to enter 8 games in 26 days. Time for Olaf and Moyse to be called back.
If we beat Derby and the win the next game to set up an away game at Manchester City, then I’ll buy Jon a curry, if we don’t…
