Sorry got that wrong I am ambivalent! 😉⚽️ Strangely enough, I was an elephant in my last life…we might have been in the same herd! 🐘 🐘 …me and you in Africa. If you own a Dog that shits outside your front door every morning, you do something about it: Train it not to…put something there to scare it off…put a cork up it’s arse! If you have a team that’s shit you do something about it: maybe try a different formation…a 1-6-3…or a 1-4-3-2…or a 3-4-3…or a 3-5-2…or a 3-4-1-2…or a 3-6-1…or a 3-3-1-3…or a 3-3-3-1…or a 4-2-3-1…or a 4-5-1…or a 4-2-1-3…or a 4-2-2-2…or a 4-6-0 (my favourite)…or a 4-5-1…or a 4-3-3…or a 4–2-4…or a 4-4-1-1…or a 4-1-2-1-2…or a 4-3-1-2…or a 4-1-2-3…or a 4-3-2-1…or a 5-4-1…or a 5-3-2, (all successful formations) or we can continue with a 4-4-2 and continue to lose 6:0 every weekend! Something tells me that there are a lot of people who step in shit every morning! 💩

To rub salt in the wound..Plymouth and Exeter both in televised games this weekend...and both in the top half of League One.

To rub salt in the wound..Plymouth and Exeter both in televised games this weekend...and both in the top half of League One. Sadly i believe we need to forget we are on a par or have similar status as our former local league one rivals. Those days are long gone we now share similar status with Weymouth and Bath city as local rivals with the likes of Taunton and Tiverton town lurking on the horizon. Thats the reality im afraid were not even mentioned on local news reports anymore and are regarded as irelivent in football terms . As a youngster in the sixties the dream was for promotion to the second tier of the football league but we blew that one and only opportunity -a familiar story. Cant see any future above our current level any more and our status may even reach lower levels as things stand being completely unable to keep decent players or build a squad that can genuinely challenge. I really wish we could have an honest statement from the club to explain our position . Fans need hope more than anything as GJ continues to struggle for answers in post match interviews. I believe he may be trying to achieve the impossible.

Thank you petef..I fear you may be right..even though this is probably the most depressing comment I have read on this forum. I guess there is always a chance the club could be bought by someone with a bucket full of cash...a la Wrexham.

I guess there is always a chance the club could be bought by someone with a bucket full of cash...a la Wrexham. Sorry to depress you stig or anyone else who may have read my views. For me personally the life long dream is over. Its that dream that kept me going for way over fifty years. These days I tend to look at the facts laid out in front of me and have become more of a realist in my later years. That chink of light I used to see at the end of the tunnel has slowly disapeared and we all need that ray of hope of better times no matter how small. The play off defeat along with the pandemic and continued loss of good footballers with little or no explanation and zero chance of building a decent side has really killed it for me. One advantage i have now is the disapointment and depression after a heavy defeat is far easier to live with and i can deal with it far more rationally.

1970/71 Division 3. Interesting to see the varying fates of different clubs.

Is it so bad to consider local derbies next year:
Weymouth, Bath, Oxford City, Taunton
