Annoying when you have “experts” who know next to nothing as co-commentators. Bring back Paul Bastard. Indeed it is. This isn't the 1970 World Cup Panel who had individually forgotten more than most viewers knew. In 2022 the average football fan knows a lot about the game, and it seems the BBC co-commentators are the ones who need to be informed rather than the listeners...

1-0 Maidstone- predictable. 1 goal scored in 5 games - 450 minutes. Garry has big problems.

A case of the resistible force against the moveable object. Which will give? An unlikely clean sheet or an unlikely goal? Maidstone keep an improbable clean sheet. Sherlock Holmes said if you eliminate the impossible (us scoring), then whatever is left must be true - no matter how improbable. We then let one in to fail to scrape a single point against an extremely poor side. My prediction of just above mid-table seems to have been ridiculously optimistic. Roll on Woking on Monday. Can we keep a clean sheet to secure a 0-0 draw?

Believe Garry Owers had seven points from his first 5 games in NLS. As GJ mentioned in interview last week performances and results like we are having will get him the sack. Nowhere near good enough injuries, new squad whatever. It all boils down the quality of the team you put out each week and so far its way below what we have become accustomed to.
It was always going to be a tough ask to replace so many established quality players, Halifax the only side we have managed score against and beat rather fortunately, are having exactly the same issues.
Optimism has all but disappeared, Garry is losing his magic touch in the transfer market that's for sure and a battle already brewing to stay above the relegation zone.

Remember the Python sketch with the milkmen? Nelson and Jarvis are both in there with Mo Camara, Alan Hay and O’Neil Donaldson. Seriously what is the update on Jarvis and Martin. Can’t see an update will give our opponents any edge over us, they don’t need it. I’d like to say I’m looking forward to the Woking game…

Not sure how true it is, whether it is mischief-making that some indulge in, but one supporter on Facebook appears to be suggesting there will be a press conference at 3pm to announce the departure of GJ. Seriously hope not as only an idiot expected a brand new team to be soaring heights after 3 weeks.
If GJ left and a manager was appointed with his exact CV, we would be so delighted. People need to be careful what they wish for or else we will end up with probably a rather underwhelming appointment or Paul Tisdale.

We have the best and most experienced manager in the division. If he does decide to call it a day it wont because of fan pressure the fan base know how lucky we are and have always supported him. Which leaves another possibility that he has realised the clubs limitations in that if you're not supplied with the finances to really compete at the top you end up with what we're witnessing now. We cant even keep hold of our best players who are now earning considerably more than we offered them No sane owner will pump money into a football club just on the basis of having a great manager. At best we could possibly clamber back into the football league but thats about it. The likes of Wrexham Notts county, Chesterfield's are a far better investment but even they are struggling to regain their status and will continue to do so with just one automatic promotion place. My guess us he wasnt given the back8ng to offer good contracts to the players he wanted to keep and has been forced into this failing plan of cheap and cheerful mostly single carefree youngsters who fancy a season by the seaside. It reflects bad on him and he is the one in the firing line when it goes wrong. I hope he doesnt pack it in but wouldn't blame him one bit and if he does jump we really will be in deep shit.
