Another tough game way to Halifax who will be looking to turn their fortunes around after losing 2-0 away at Barnet last Saturday not helped by a red card which will mean their defender Jamie Stott will not be available. As for us, Johnson has confirmed that Omar will be out with concussion but it does sound like he will be back very soon, possibly for the following match on Tuesday. Tomlinson in, another loanee or 4 at the back are our covering options. As for the other injuries, both sustained both before and during the last game, Johnson as usual is playing with his cards very close to his chest. Hopefully the likes of Lapslie will be available again but he may struggle to play a full part for both Saturday and Tuesday having played very little football so far.

As for the other injuries, both sustained both before and during the last game, Johnson as usual is playing with his cards very close to his chest. If Donnellan were fit, he could play centre-back. Hall can too, but I doubt if you would play he and Moxey both there and don’t think he is match-fit to last ninety minutes anyway. The addition of Nathaniel-George and possibly Hughes gives us wide options other than Evans if we decide to go 4-2-3-1. Would quite like to see McGavin in a free role behind Goodwin with two out wide and Lapslie and Hanson holding the fort. Difficult to know if all of those are fit or whether anyone I am expecting to be unfit will surprise us. Commentary on Radio Devon or Buckland v Saltash or both? Decisions, decisions.

Tough one today but aren't they all? Halifax will be desperate to get a result today after a disappointing start at Barnet though I would like to think that may work in our favour.

link - Team is out with five central midfielders starting! As Jon discussed earlier, Hall or Donnellan will shore up the defence and likely McGavin will play just behind Goodwin. Both the new boys and Evans are on the bench giving us lots of pacey options.

As expected, no sign of Andrews or Jarvis, anyone know what happened to Nathaniel-George?

I always say that solid central midfielders are the glue that holds teams together so you can’t have too many of them.
Five in the starting lineup may put that theory to the test!
I am expecting Donnellan in the back three and McGavin up front leaving Lapslie, Hall and Hanson as a solid three. Could be wrong though. I wonder if the commentators will tell us if I am or will just chatter aimlessly.

Not sure whether Evans was taken off on Saturday because he was injured or just because he was not playing that well. I didn’t think the position he was asked to play helped. Would have been better if he had had more attacking license. Would have been tempted to start him today as second striker and leave Hall on the bench. Cannot see Hall and Lapslie both playing 180 minutes Saturday and Tuesday so would rather have one in the team all the time than start with both and up with neither.
