He's off and joining Dorchester on July 1 apparently - maybe make the journey down there to watch him play sometime next season if the Gulls aren't playing. Good luck to the high-flying No 11.

Sad to see him go (for the time being anyway). Always gave 100% for the cause and I for one will miss seeing him around at Plainmoor. Seemed inevitable bearing in mind the lack of news coming from him or TUFC in recent weeks. I suspect that he's not happy being a "utility" player and you can't blame him for that. Good luck Hilly. What a fantastic example, both as a player and person, to young footballers.
All the best.

I'm really happy for Kev, he really is such a great bloke, always willing to have a chat and he has been a credit for the club.
He should be playing and at Dorchester, you can be sure he'll be on the team sheet, not really ever likely to happen at TUFC now, with the new players etc.
Sure Kev will always have TUFC close to his heart, so all the best Kev, gone but never forgotten.

Sad to see him go but it's probably the right time. I wish him all the luck in the world. A good man and one of my favorite players during my time of watching Torquay.

I think he's made the right decision. He will be playing at a decent level in the BS South and should be a fixture in their side. The reality is that even if the club had offered him another year, the way our squad is shaping up he wouldnt have got a look in and Hilly is just not the sort of player to sit around kicking his heels and drawing his wages, he wants to play ever game. All the best Hilly, you will leave all us Gulls fans with some great memories - shame that goal against City in the Play Offs didnt turn out to be the winning one eh!

Sorry to see him leave, but pleased he's made the right decision. In football, the timing of one's departure is almost as important as one's decision of where to start. At least this way, Hilly has left under his own terms and not "embarrassed" the club into finding a role for him. One would imagine, that playing part time at Dorchester (only one level below us by the way) would allow him to take up the place held for him working with the trainees..............let's hope so! So long for now Hilly.................a privilege to have been in your company over the years, and best wishes for the future.

Hilly. The word legend is bandied about & accredited to lesser fellows than you, but you are a legend in the eyes of 99.9% of all torquay fans good luck with everything you do in the future I can Honestly say it's been a pleasure to watch your efforts over the last 11 seasons & if everyone had put in the effort you have over that period maybe, just maybe, we wouldn't be in this non league position right now. Cheers Kev, its been a privilege

A true legend leaves, sorry to see ya go Kev, hope it all works out for you. But at least Dorchester are full-time, so need to get a p/t job just yet!

I would simply echo the comments made by others. The time is right but it is always sad to see an individual of his calibre end his playing association with the club.

If you read the comments attributed to Lee Hodges on .com tonight, it's clear we have signed another "Hilly" in as much he's more than willing to play in whatever role the manager wishes to the best of his ability. That's the sort of signing every manager dreams about!
