Pretty sure today marks 35 years since Spotlight’s April Fool stating that Torquay had signed a former AC Milan striker (perhaps Aprillo Uno) with the help of local Italian restaurant owners.
I remember my dad wanted to believe it so badly that he did take some persuading that it was a joke but it was well put together.
