Interesting to see “own goals” feature so highly in the goal scoring of the 80s chart, with only a handful of players managing to score more for us in the da de than the opposition.
Mike Bateson’s comments about not needing to appoint a manager should have struck early alarm bells and this disregard for needing a good manager came to dominate his tenure as chairman.
