Sad to hear that Jimmy Greaves passed away today. Truly one of the greats.Best English goal scorer ever...always so wonderfully balanced.Saw him play in the famous FA Cup 3-3 at Plainmoor. He didn't score...but made up for it by scoring a hat trick in the replay.Condolences to his family and friends.

Yes outstanding player and scored on his debut for Chelsea (against Spurs), England, AC Milan, Spurs, and West Ham. Very sad. Not a good day, as Boycie (Fools and Horses) has also gone today. RIP both ⚽️

Thanks stefano..another interesting stat...Jimmy scored 2 FA Cup hat tricks ..against Torquay and Ipswich. Truly one of the greats.

I wonder if Jimmy Greaves would have knelt down before a match kicked off, just because some imbecile told him to…something tells me not.
In Jimmy Greaves day they put on the England shirt with pride, they played with pride in themselves and the players around them, which amazingly is why they won games!
The only similarity with today’s players and players in Greaves day is the putting on of the shirt…hence why we win Jack-Shit!
