Mascot Leon Hapgood who would burst onto the first team scene in Kevin Hodges' near-promotion team, come back in the Chris Roberts era, be involved in youth coaching at Torquay and then in the Torquay colony at Calgary with Tom Wheeldon, John Wheeldon and Lee Tucker.
