I see they have us down as potential play off winners, given their prediction for last season that doesn't bode well, although to be fair to them I also predicted that Boreham Wood would win the league. This season I will say Stockport will win the league and given my track record in these things that will rule them out.

I see that in todays Torbay Weekly, DT mentions that Chesterfield have 'reportedly' paid 200K + for Kabby Tshimanga.

I see that in todays Torbay Weekly, DT mentions that Chesterfield have 'reportedly' paid 200K + for Kabby Tshimanga. link - Probably courtesy of £1 million loan from the government on low interest rates that they have yet to start paying back. Feel there is an element of gambling to get out of this division and if not successful then that could come back to bite them in the behind with reduced income in future years. Kabby has scored around 20 goals at this level over the last 2 seasons, seems a high figure, possibly inflated by interest at EFL level.

Absolutely there are several teams throwing big money at it this season. At the end of the season, that gamble is only going to work for two teams, the others will find themselves exactly where they started. This surely puts their long term future at risk. Of course, we are also at the mercy of our owner continuing to bankroll us too!

It should be between Stockport, Notts County, Wrexham and Chesterfield for the title.
That does not mean it will be but it should be.
Grimsby and Southend should have enough to hit the playoffs, but would not be a surprise if one or the other underachieves.
Someone who should not be up there will be.
Par for the course for us would be about seventh. We could do better or could do worse.
My prediction: scrape into seventh and win the playoff final on penalties.
No moaning about that not being fair, because those are the rules we have signed up for!

Amazing what £200K can do for you with Kabongo Tshimango scoring two in as many minutes for Chesterfield 😁
