If only we had defended that first free kick, things would have been a lot easier tonight and you are not always going to pull things out of the fire.
Had a lot of chances which we did not take coupled with their keeper pulling off some good saves which is something to look at but suppose that is better than not having any chances.....

Take deep breaths and avoid alcohol. More games coming up quickly! 😉⚽️ Take deep breaths between gulps! FFS, i'm not sure how much more of this i can take.

Absolutely unbelievable! Gary time strikes again and I feel like I’ve just run a marathon. Is it our year? Well the year ends in one and all that... 2001 Barnet... 2011 Old Trafford... 2021...

Massively helped by two assists from Randell again which was credited by both Johnson and Boden in their after match interviews. How many assists does he keep churning out?
The refs reasoning for the penalty being turned down was that the Lino told him the ball was out of play, when the foul was committed. Johnson has looked at the footage and reckoned the ball was still 4 yards in.

So would we have enough fit bodies left to see off a poor Aldershot side?
Looked like we might do it the easy way as were excellent for the first fifteen minutes or so. A very well-worked goal but we could or should have had two or three. All the good work wiped off in a split second, with an unforgivable lack of marking on a set piece.
Looked like it was going to be one of those frustrating nights when we were going to fail to grab three points that were there for the taking.
Then another kick in the teeth with a stoppage time penalty awarded and rescinded - the whole fiasco taking up all of the four minutes time added.
Most teams do not get over a body blow like that but when champions get knocked down, they get back up again.
What can you say about Adam Randell? What a player he is.
So somehow a threadbare squad has scrapped its way to seven points in the last three games.
Surely that 16 could not keep that run going against Eastleigh, Chesterfield and Bromley who are all in the thick of the playoff chase and Stockport who are hot on our heels.
Let’s hope we can add most of those missing players back for the run-in.
More heart-stopping moments to come. Incredible the highs and lows football can give you.

It’s certainly payback time when it comes to late goals.
It’s throwing my ideas all over the place, but when I do actually find out what is happening, I won’t tell you!
Long may it continue though. 🙂

It’s certainly payback time when it comes to late goals. The only downside is that for every late goal we lose a player ☹️

Unless I am mistaken, the last time we went on such a run at the end of a season was in 1926/27 when we won 10 and drew 1 of the last 11 games. We all know what happened then, we got elected into the Football League. So far we have won 7 and drawn 1 of the last eight. Some of the comments on various media outlets from Stockport fans etc are amusing about out late late late shows.

Might be worth a punt on us scoring in the sixth minute of extra time next game, because the timing of the goals seem to correspond to how many games we have left!

The one I liked was a guy who said that at Plainmoor when it gets dark they play next goal wins! I can remember feeling similarly frustrated in the past when chasing other teams who always seemed to pull something out of the bag at the last minute. Woking two years ago was one of them. Just as it looked as though we would make up ground on them they scored a last minute goal. They tailed off though. We won't!

Must be pretty galling for the clubs and their supporters. All of us are looking at the other results and wishing them a defeat. Sutton were doing the same a few weeks ago before they hit heir rocky patch. Cant honestly see any let up in the contest and we still have some ridiculously difficult games ahead of us but at least our destiny is in our own hands.
Not sure if Boden will be eligible for Mondays game against his parent club though I guess we will have Umerah back from suspension for the games to come. Surely Chesterfield put a clause in the loan agreement that would prevent him playing against them.
Reminds me somewhat of the situation when Shrewsbury Town loaned us Jake Robinson and he scored two in 5-0 league victory against his parent club and also figured in the play off victory. No objection if history were to repeat itself mind you, preferably in the tenth minute of injury time!
I bet that went down well with their supporters!
