Got away with that I think. Very surreal how Umerah got sent off when the ref changed his mind from no foul to yellow card on both occasions. What happened to a warning?

A good enough eleven to beat the likes of Woking but did not look good enough to taken on the likes of Notts County.
Our work rate and refusal to give up are huge plusses to take from that. Still not sure how we contrived to scrape a point but maybe we deserve it for sheer bloody-mindedness in refusing to give up a lost cause.
Come on Eastleigh!
Let’s get a few of those missing players back ASAP!

Good grief I'd given up completely when Umerah was sent off.
3 seconds away from the eight minutes of injury time and the final whistle we scramble an unlikely equaliser.
A crazy but underwhelming performance both sides working hard to cancel each other out.Us with very little threat.
Shoot ourselves in the foot to concede the first and when the second went in it looked like certain defeat as we created very little.
Credit to the boys for the hard work, its what got us the point but we desperatetly need some goal threat returning to be serious for the title or competitive in the play offs.
Top but not for long I fancy.

Lino gave it I think making up for Umerah being sent off.
Both Hall and Johnson gave post match interviews. Both accepted that we did not play very well in the first 80 minutes. Johnson attributed part of that to Notts County not playing on Tuesday but paradoxically thought we actually finished stronger as they tired.

Linesman's call, he flagged for the goal immediately and Notts players who were close didn't protest. My stream froze on 71 minutes and I couldn't restart. I nearly didn't bother to try again as the result looked a certainty. Finally had to refresh the page and it was back on jut in time for Connors goal. Referee's decisions were a bit of a mystery with both events looking almost identical and more or less in the same part of the pitch. The challenges weren't played back so it was hard to see what happened in both instances. |
