I'm intrigued by that advert for the Mirror vision VHS on the news desk page. £20 seems a lot of money for 1985.

I'm intrigued by that advert for the Mirror vision VHS on the news desk page. £20 seems a lot of money for 1985. Not a bad price for pre-recorded VHS then some films were £35 to £50 in the 80's. Even the blank tapes to record things on were quite expensive. Like all technology it got cheaper over the years. Now Dvd's and VHS tapes (for those who still have a system to play them) are dirt cheap.

The disgruntled supporters he referred to were my dad and his mates. I was there too and I remember Stuart Morgan was very polite. He was nice man (still is I’m sure) and he had the worst of circumstances to manage in but reading through his programme notes over recent days, sometimes gives the impression of someone a little out of their depth. Possibly unfair but I wonder if the players gave him the respect he warranted.
