I have to ask the question, does JimD own Google? Is it just a pure coincidence that the picture used to welcome in the new year on the home page of Google, has Jims and I think he really owns Paignton Zoo.

So did his elephant, what animal is the only one to have four knees and by knees I mean ones that bend forward like ours.

Talking about giraffes I was watching Zoo babies on one of the five channels at teatime today. I think the giraffe was called Mary, silly name if you ask me anyway she was about to give birth, did she get herself nice and low to the ground? No she stood up tall and the poor baby just fell down to the floor, what sort mothers are these giraffes ;D The poor thing then needs to get up onto its legs, it was two hours before it could stand properly. It had to be able to do that to feed, as mother does not make things easy for the little thing.

Hi Mellow,
The Sunday evening quiz is a regular event at the Kents. Don't live near enough to go myself but have a mate who goes every week and enjoys it. I am sure you would be welcomed.
Off to Plainmoor shortly with my lad and two 'newbies'. Hope it's a good game and they may become regulars!

Talking of Jim and the zoo, I have just read a letter in the HE, it concerns what happens now, to meat past its sale date, at our local supermarkets.
The meat in the past would have gone to the zoo, who as you would expect have very large food bills. Now due to health and safety reasons it gets dumped into landfill sites. I loved the last line of the letter, the writer said he did not know any loins or crocodiles who checked or were concerned if their meat was pass the sell by date. Just one more thing to prove, how the world has gone mad.

(except I love my signature of it, especially made for me)! Thanks for the info, I like a pub quiz. We will certainly have to give that a go soon.
