Probably a good time to play Wealdstone, their manager Brennan left the club last week with assistant Maynard now acting as Caretaker and lost a few players along the way. They have just had a long trip to Darlington which they lost 4-1 and if they can battle through the snow, have a another sizeable journey down to us just three days later. The scorer of their goal against us at the end of November, Danny Parish only appeared as a substitute late on so he at least will be relatively fresh.
Not that we haven’t got problems ourselves, in addition to our longer term injuries, Nemane had to be substituted last Tuesday with an injury so there so there is a doubt over his availability and Umerah limped off on Saturday and it remains to be seen if he can recover from a “dead leg.” Again, probably too soon to start Wynter and he may struggle to get on the substitutes bench but at least with Lewis we have decent cover at right back although I am sure part of our loss of form is due to him not being available.
We had to come back from a half time 1-0 deficit last time we played them with Waters hitting a brace including the 89th minute winner so sure he will play a big part in this game although maybe not from the start. Pretty sure Hall and CLE will start after having a degree of rest. Maybe Andrews on the left if Nemane is not fit although hope this is not the case.
This game marks the half way point of the season assuming the weather doesn’t play a hand. With temperatures forecast to be at or just above freezing with a stiff easterly wind making it feel like -6 or -7 then live streaming would be a very tempting option even if you could get into the ground.
