We ended a match very well with no ‘forward’ the other week. Can’t remember which game. An incredible last goal team wise scored in it. Pass, Pass, Pass. GJ with his box of tricks. No defenders on that bench either, but we have the personnel to switch that around if needs be.

Don't know much about Alty. Have they got some lumps at the back who will be confused by having nobody to mark? I remember Don Revie picking an England team with about six centre-backs against a Holland team with no strikers.

We haven't found a formation that accommodates both Little and Lemonheigh-Evans yet. Could this be the one?

All to do in the second half. Uncharacteristic poor defending for both their goals

Torquay United = Manchester City of the National League? Not a chance. Dreadful defending after a comfortable start.

Impressed by Alty. They deserve their lead. Can we step up a gear second half? I hope so.

Tough match this as predicted. Alty look well up for it, a very capable outfit and have the advantage at half time. Don't think CLE up top is working and expect GJ to change it around soon. Warning signs were there when Mooney who looked very dangerous hit the cross bar early on.
45 minutes to get back and win it but it will take our best football and a little good fortune to win this one the opposition are good and very much up for the challenge.

Really poor showing and deserved absolutely nothing. No meaningful possession and very poor touches and decision making.

Sounds like too many players playing out of position. Need to ride out the storm and get the squad fit.

Worryingly reminiscent of the 1990/91 season.

Awful the worst game of football for a very long time and the sort where you leave the ground before the end - in fact I did leave the screen. Gonna happen for sure the biggest concern for me was up top CLE poor and not equipped and Street totally ineffective.
So bloody sloppy in possession as well at times Andrews give away late in the game which should have cost us was dreadful and summed it all up really.
All the slagging that Josh Omerah as taken and he honestly couldn't have been any worse and maybe what we needed tonight.
Dust ourselves down and go again but will there be anything to play for anyway.

I don't agree, we were a sorry rag tag bunch this evening. Having got in front, we then contributed to our own downfall and weren't up for it when we should have been pummelling them in the second half. At least we did that against Dagenham and Redbridge but not tonight. We're still nine points clear though.

The last 15/20 minutes of it they ran us ragged, to be fair. Both sides were crap in the second half. We needed to be less crap and weren’t. Play those who haven’t had game time on Saturday. Please. Umerah, Sheaf, others... We need 3 points v Wealdstone so much more and we are possibly without Cameron and Evans through suspension now for that one? If so, don’t play them at Southport. Give them a rest and get people in who can play Tuesday.
