Need to role over Barnet on Saturday and try and push on if we can but I take nothing for granted and again we will need to perform in every game if we are to shake off the challengers and maintain the gap. Barnet started the evening as the second worse team in the league. 90 minutes of football later they're the worse team in the league. What could possibly go wrong on Saturday?
Reading the scare stories of a cancelled season quite a lot I guess Pete. In a worst case scenario every game and every win we have gained called null and void. I can understand a short suspension but a cancellation really isn't in the spirit of the game or any competition. Its not really about fulfilling fixtures I see it as an argument of finance and clubs who are threatened by relegation or have nothing to play for. A big win at Barnet could be meaningless anyway. We appear to be completely powerless sadly and hope a fair solution for all clubs can be found if indeed the season is voided. No official view from the club as yet but pretty sure we all know their standing on the issue.

Typical top of the table clash. Both teams seemed a little cautious. Just a pity it will mean little, as I suspect the NL clubs will vote to halt the season in the next few days 🙁

The choice is whether or not to accept a loan as funding. I think that our club would accept the loan deal because the money on offer for reaching the Football League would more than cover the cost of a loan, so the club would see it as an investment. Our biggest problem is would there be any one left for us to play?

It is possible that we may have fans back in a tier 2 type scenario for April and May. Everyone over 50 should have had a vaccine by then so things should be looking a lot rosier.

We showed again how we have tightened up defensively. Let’s hope we can keep that and find our goal scoring mojo again. Two draws will look great results if we follow them up with two wins.
We will never know how that game would have gone if Moxey had not been sent off. Impressed how we handled ourselves with ten men. My first thought was Andrews would come straight on at left back with Little sacrificed. Andrews is fine as an attacking left back but easily exposed if a winger goes at him - and Sutton had a very good right winger. Sensible to move Lewis over to defend that flank. That meant the midfield lost Randell, needed to go to right back, while already badly missing Hall. I was worried that a midfield of Lemonheigh-Evans and Little (later replaced by Andrews) would be too lightweight. I didn’t factor in Aaron Nemane. When he signed, I thought he was a Kalala type luxury player. On Tuesday he was more of a Matt Hockley clone - just what we needed in the circumstances.
Sacrificing the man in the hole meant Rob Street ploughed a lonely furrough on his debut. I thought he stuck at it manfully and showed bags of promise. Looks an upgrade on Umerah to me. Not a Danny Wright, but you cannot reasonably expect a young loanee to have all the nous and know how that Wright has spent a footballing lifetime acquiring.
