Let me get my head around this...you’re saying we are actually allowed to forfeit this game? So instead of spending the entire day travelling to one of the most God forsaken suburbs in the country (indeed the planet), we could have organised an equally beneficial match against Bristol City reserves or one of the more local teams. So instead of taking part in the most useless competition since Shiphay Choppers took on Chelston Dribblers way back in 1965, (and I was never off-side for that goal of mine) we could have had an enjoyable match, and not have the shit kicked out of us like we did the last time we played BW in this competition! So instead of buying new tyres for the team coach (have we got one yet?) with the money (which should just about cover the cost) we would have received from winning this entire competition we could have changed the tyres next year. 🤯🤯🤯

Halifax or Southport away in next round. Can't see Boreham Wood fancying it any more than we will. ⚽️

link - Dave Thomas preview with information that Max Sheaf will not feature as signed after the tie was originally due to be played and that Little has recovered and may make it on to the subs bench. If he can stay fit then our midfield strength in depth is crazy and stands us in good stead with lots of rotation and competition on the cards.

Woo hoo, it’s The Cup day...don’t you just love Cup days...I can feel the air crackling.
In fact, I woke up this morning and could hardly breathe... but that might have been because Mrs Register was sat on my face?
I’ve heard a snippet that when the team arrived at the ground, one of the players looked around, shook his head and said “Christ!” To which the manager said: “No mate, it’s not storm Christ...it’s storm Chris.”

Great news if AL has recovered. Didn't look promising when gh=he exited the Yeovil match. Christ GJ will have an unenviable midfield selection headache on his hands. Bet he doesn't mind that though. Never known such a strong set of midfield players - where the battles are won and lost!
Player pitch time is all that matters tonight - a chance to get back up to speed. Anything else is a bonus - or not as the case may be...

Whilst there is doubt amongst some as to the validity of this competition, match playing time on the pitch ahead of two competative league games next week can be essential after a two week break. However the monetary value as we advance in this cup can be extremely helpful during these financial times.
Winners tonight £5250 losers £1500 Round 5 winners £6000 Quarter final winners £7500 Semi final winners £15000 Final : Runners up £30,000 Winners £60,000 Total amount of winners revenue 2020/21: £84,750
This does not take into account extra revenue from spectators etc which now is streaming and a percentatage share of away gate money/streaming. The FA used to assist with away travel in seasons past and it is not clear if this is still the case. This also applies to overnight stays/hotels but it appears quite complex especially with reference to postponed fixtures similar to last Saturday. COYY !!

The Solihull postponement means everyone needs minutes - or we risk being ring-rusty for the crucial league games - like Yeovil were at Plainmoor. I would like to see 60 minutes for Moxey, Hall and Street. 30 minutes for Warren, Little and Umerah. Hope the others are young enough and fit enough to manage 270 minutes in 8 days - helped by having had a good rest since Jan 2.
