With a busy Christmas week coming up and all that is going on thought it worth getting this thread up nice and early. link - tickets are now on sale, however, online there appears to be precious few left in what is likely to be a socially distanced sell out and if you are thinking of going then it is worth calling the club early tomorrow to see what the availability is. link - of course, we will be one of the few clubs allowing fans in and even this update about travelling from tier 3 areas is now out of date with the new tier 4 introduction and rule changes so visiting family only on Christmas Day is now allowed. Whether with mainly locals now really allowed, will tickets purchased on Friday be returned and made re-available? So this fixture was at Huish Park last year and with our injury crisis which worsened during the game itself, we were no match for a strong Yeovil side. The boot is now on the other foot both in our respective positions and players available and we are now looking for a bit of payback. Hall is suspended for this game but with Little getting his first start in the trophy match we have a ready made midfield replacement. Both Wynter and Sherring are hopefully available and if this is the case would see us back with our first choice defence for some time. Whether Wynter will be able to participate for 90 minutes in a full blooded local derby remains to be seen. Of course streaming will be available as usual and with a half decent (literally) crowd cheering the side on, hopefully we can get all three points to maintain our title challenge.

Email from the club:
Dear Supporter,
The club would like to place on record its thanks to everybody that purchased a ticket for the Yeovil fixture on Boxing Day, and we appreciate the understanding and cooperation shown by all supporters during this time. Supporters are reminded that when booking tickets for any fixture at Plainmoor, you are agreeing to adhere to the regulations as laid out in our Supporters Code of Conduct Policy here. Further guidance is available in our Social Distancing At Plainmoor – FAQs here.
Due to Track & Trace purposes, all tickets are for use solely by the individual named on it, and are therefore non-transferrable.
Any United supporters currently residing in Tier 3 or Tier 4 areas are again reminded that in line with current UK Government restrictions, all unnecessary travelling outside their areas should be avoided. Therefore no supporters from these areas should be attending fixtures at Plainmoor whilst these regulations remain in place. Further guidance is available here.
The safety of our players, staff, supporters, and local community remains paramount. Anybody from a Tier 3 or Tier 4 area found attending a match Plainmoor whilst these restrictions remain in place will be subject to a ban for the rest of the season.
We will be continuing to provide a live streaming service for all of our home fixtures for the foreseeable future, with passes for the Yeovil Town fixture being made available for purchase shortly.
Thank you for your continued support Yellow Army, and we look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to Plainmoor on Boxing Day.
In the meantime, we would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
Best Regards,
Torquay United AFC

With Yeovil now Tier 3 does this mean their players and staff cannot travel here on Saturday? Its getting a little confusing.

With Yeovil now Tier 3 does this mean their players and staff cannot travel here on Saturday? Its getting a little confusing. They can because it is their work. Bromley have got cases now but not surprised considering where they are- linkGot a feeling it is only ourselves and Weymouth that can now host fans in the National League......

link - Good news, Boxing Day match is on! Results too late to play the Trophy game but in time for Boxing Day. Who could have guessed that might happen?

A shrewd move from Yeovil Town but hey they wouldn't do that would they? Think this will be as tough a game as any we've faced all season. Certainly looked like they found their feet in their last game at Bromley three weeks ago- their first league victory of the season No idea why they've struggled so much after looking so strong last season while twice giving us a hiding. Hope we have some more numbers back in the fold for selection but Asa will be a miss once more as he sits out his last game.

No Reid. Buse left back? MacDonald Wynter Cundy Hall Cameron James Buse Whitfield Evans Andrews Lewington Covolan Lewis Nemane Kalala Keating With the squad beset by injury this time last year and on an unwanted losing streak, Johnson was forced into putting out a very poor side. Compounded by playing Hall and Cameron out of position, CLE still finding form after that ankle injury and Wynter also struggling from injury later in the game and easy to see where it all went wrong. We are in a lot. lot better place this time around and if Wynter is fit will be at full strength I will enjoy being at the game as much as possible as we are not at home again until 12 January and fear we will be in a higher tier by then. Bad luck for all those prevented from attending this match and thank God for streaming!

I know it’s Xmas day, and I hate to be a party pooper, but I have more chance of becoming pregnant than we have of winning this game!
If anybody is interested, even money on Yeovil getting a win or draw...nice!
