Not content with losing eight of their play off finalist team, Cambridge United have now lost their manager Jimmy Quinn "by mutual consent" Brave words from the Chairman don't cover the fact this club appears to be in financial and playing meltdown and the impression I got whilst at the "Shabby Stadium" last season was that they were as cash strapped as a church mouse. The whole place appeared tired and run down, and badly in need of basic maintenance.............unlike their fabulous fans who were by far the loudest and most buoyant set of fans I saw on my travels last season.

always sad to see the demise of any football club, but the fact is, it does come down to how any club is run.
We had m.Bateson, keeping a tight grip on the pennies and keeping the club solvent, but it could never really move forward. Then we had Roberts, who had he not been removed, would have taken the club down with him and the club could have so easily gone out of existence.
Now we have a board running the club in a professional way, always looking to increase the revenue and looking to take the club forward. We don't know how lucky we are.

A bit ironic that they are LOSING so many staff, when the sponsored name of the stadium is TRADE RECRUITMENT STADIUM! No doubt there will be more to follow, and they will be field ing youngsters & players brought in from the Eastern Counties League. From play-off finalists to potential strugglers in just one season??
