Quite impressed with Notts County despite their wing back getting his marching orders. From early on he was diving in left right and center and I was just waiting for the one that was just too hasty and over the top.
He did have a big problem down that side though with in Olaofe who is a strong dangerous and skillful player. On loan from Milwall I believe and really impressed before fading late on along with Rodrigues for Notts County who I thought looked a pretty cultured player for this level. Quite surprised Sutton went off the boil when Notts when down to ten men and looked particularly vulnerable at the back. I expected them to go on to dominate and win the game comfortably.
Some very good possession and containing play from Notts County second half and they thoroughly deserved their victory and if they make the playoffs will be capable opposition if they can keep that sort of form going.
As important a result as any of our recent victory's and it's back in our own hands though I still see plenty of twists and turns on the horizon.
A quite incredible season and its far from over.....

Olaofe destroyed County on the left side. Once he went off Sutton didn't look much of a threat.
Thought the Bath loanee at Sutton..Wilson..looked good. Would like to see him in a Torquay shirt next season.

The 10 points lead for Sutton United over us with 13 games to go is reminiscent of the Woking lead over us 2 seasons ago, and we know what happened there. Sutton will feel the pressure at some point and implode. All we have to do is win our games to catch them. I assume if the government confirms as expected that the further easing of restrictions will come into force from 17 May 2021, then we will have spectators for our last home game and penultimate overall game at home to Barnet.
Should be allowed about 3000 and could use the away end as it will be home fans only to start with, so should be a tremendous atmosphere and a massive boost to the team. ⚽️

They've got this far without any crowds, I'd rather we carry on as we are until the end of the season, because so far it is working. |

Yes good point that could happen but if spectators are allowed, and it looks as though they will be, I cannot see the club turning down £40,000 + of spectator entry money (although I suppose some of that they already have through season ticket holders, but it would still be an extra £25,000 or so from the non season ticket holders). |

Johnson did say he would love us to win the Championship in front of a home crowd against Barnet. After his “would like to be able to catch Sutton by the time we play them” comment who would bet on him not fulfilling this? Absolutely top, top manager who has done it all before and his experience is keeping us in very good stead. |

The actual rule jerry for outdoor events is 4000 or 50% of capacity, whichever is the lower. I think the Notts ground holds about 19,000 so their permitted number would be 4000. Plainmoor capacity is about 6200 so based on that we would be allowed 3100. I am sure the club as well will need to assess distancing and how many can be accommodated in each area, which may reduce the number from that officially permitted. ⚽️

What are the distancing rules? Is it cut to 1m now? If it's still 2m then I guess we'd have the same capacity as we did for the few games we were allowed to attend earlier in the season. |

The rule is now 1 metre plus where 2 metres is not possible. The 1 metre plus rule means that additional precautions must be taken wearing face masks and not standing or sitting face to face.
All very complicated! 😉

Would suggest we will be back to where we were last December. Should be greater demand due to vaccines and the situation on the pitch. this time though. |

Thanks for link Rob but it is a BBC article whereas the figures I quoted are from the government coronavirus website.
Outdoor events is 4000 or 50% of capacity whichever is the lower (no mention of seated).
Outdoor events at larger seated venues is 10000 or 25% of capacity whichever is lower.
Notts County stadium is all seated so they would fall under the 2nd category, hence them having 4400 tickets available for the first home game where spectators are allowed.
We clearly fall into the first category and the numbers allowed by the government are higher than they were when we were last allowed to have spectators.
The club of course will have health and safety responsibilities so may decide on a lower figure, but the number permitted by the government is 50% of capacity. I think that is around 3200 these days. ⚽️
