link - nice to see the premier league are giving £200000 to the National League to hold the play off. With six teams per division not much more than £10000 per team so still a loss leader for those not getting promoted. No definite dates for the play offs yet but the eliminators likely to start 18th July and finish by 1st or 2nd August. It will be a long season for these teams bearing in mind we are looking to commence pre season at the start of August.

What on earth is the point of that...playing at an empty Wembley!
They might as well play on that sloping pitch up the back of Watcombe, (or wherever it is) at least they'd have a bit of fun chasing the bloody ball down that hill!
What is in the minds of the people who organize these things?
Flip a coin, and play at one of the two grounds!

Was thinking the same the other night watching Northampton v Exeter. However, I don’t begrudge any player getting to play at Wembley, particularly if it is their only time ever to get to play there. It’s Wembley, after all.

Indeed it is nice for lower league players to play there for the first time, but the whole thing for me is the fans. Without them there's no atmosphere, no fun, no point for celebrations at the end. Which for me is what a Wembley appearance if all about.

Totally agree. Football without fans is not football.
