My frustration in not knowing when the fixtures are to be released prompted me to contact the conference today.
The update is that we still have to wait another nearly 3 weeks to plan our trip to The Dripping Pan!
See full message below:
Dear Alex,
The Football Conference fixtures are due to be released on Friday 4th July 2008.
Kind regards,

Not good enough really, but glad you have brought this up, as I hoping someone will put their self forward to be (wait for it)
The Calendar Monitor(what a title)
Looking for someone with the time to put all the fixtures on the calendar, I have already done the pre season games, etc.
So who is game.

we still have to wait another nearly 3 weeks to plan our trip to The Dripping Pan! That's quite normal Alex as proper "pairing" can't be done by the Conference until the Football League and Premiership fixtures are out. The Conference has it's own administration and peculiar problems appertaining to the constitution of it's divisions that cannot be resolved subject to appeal in time to simultaneously release dates with the leagues "above" I'd rather they took their time and did the job properly, unlike last year when they "forgot" to allow time for the play offs and subsequently had to abort the last Saturday of the season and squeeze those games into midweek. I would guess the majority of BSP clubs would ask to be "paired" with clubs above their status and are therefore understanding of the situation. For the uninitiated, "pairing" is when clubs indicate a team or teams they do not or cannot pay at home on the same day as. In OUR case it would obviously be Argyle due to stewarding as well as Exeter if possible purely in the interests of having a better chance of attracting a few "floaters" from the area between the clubs. I'm told there are even some clubs who additionally need to be "paired" with rugby clubs as well due to ground sharing.

Now seems they could be out end of this week, according to the PR man. Someone from "the other site" e-mailled the BSP and received a diferent response to Alex. Time will tell I suppose!
