News of note in today's NLP.................... Crawley Town facing a points deduction for the FOURTH season running - this time they allegedly included an ineligible player whilst gaining four points earlier in the season. Weymouth making huge noises about the 2,323 crowd on Boxing Day but avoiding acknowledging that almost half the crowd were supporting the Gulls - oh well, happy in their delusion I guess. Nigel Clough pulling the old phscycology by naming US as the best side in the BSP.....................yeah, yeah, yeah; just give us the nice lead you have under your belts Cloughie and we'll sing YOUR praises in return. Can hardly wait for next Tuesday!

There's also a cracking letter in the NLP (reproduced below with another worthwhile read) from a bloke in North London who seems to be doubting Woking's fitness for purpose as a BSP club. The NLP is also reporting ....Stevenage may be flogging a few players in January.....the latest in the Droylsden v Chesterfield saga (the ineligible Droylsden player angle).....a degree of doubt about the Weymouth "rescue bid" (it's not yet complete). I can also exclusively reveal that James Wright, the NLP's results man, was due at Plainmoor this afternoon. Unfortunately, due to his daughter being given Christmas vouchers for a shop that only has a branch in Exeter, he was forced to switch to Exeter City. As a neutral - the Big Bank stewards apparently questioned his wearing of a Wolves scarf - he reports it was "pants".
