Of course, with restricted capacity the club need to work out who is in who’s social bubble so that they can maximise the attendance. Therefore no surprise to receive the following email, hopefully will not be abused.
Dear Supporter,
Thank you for renewing your Season Ticket for the 2020/21 campaign.
With Plainmoor's capacity set to be reduced for the forthcoming season due to the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing measures will be in place throughout the stadium.
If you share a social bubble with family and friends and would like to sit with them at forthcoming matches, please notify us by entering their email addresses via the link below. An email will then be sent to each person, asking them to verify this request.
If you have any queries regarding this, please email yellowarmy@torquayunited.com or phone 01803 328666 between 10am-2pm (Mondays / Wednesdays only).

A Support Bubble rather than Social Bubble is the only one that would allow people to sit or stand together. A Support Bubble is comprised two households and at least one of those households must be a single household. Once formed a Support Bubble is counted as one household, you can stay overnight at each others houses, and you do not have to socially distance. If you have formed a Support Bubble you must stay in it and cannot change to an arrangement with another household.
A Social Bubble is a looser arrangement where you mostly mix with the same group of friends or family and it is recommended that this is restricted to no more than 10 people. However social distancing is still required between different households (with a Support Bubble counting as one household).
Social Bubbles cannot therefore sit or stand together without social distancing (though 2 household in a Support Bubble one of which must be a single household can).

link - good point actually made between support and social bubbles. It may be as an outside activity that the regulations will be relaxed in the context of watching sport as you are going to struggle to get 30% in otherwise.

link - looks like the National League are meeting clubs on Monday to discuss social distancing in stadia and also the fans pilot match. If that is 15% of capacity - just under 1000 for us then hopefully would be for a PSF and not the first game of the season although this would explain why no more season tickets have been made available as of yet.....

link - Dorking have put their plans on ice to host their PSFs in front of fans but seems to be in the interests of the National league who are trying to put measures into place with the DCMS to allow this to happen so just maybe we can get to Plainmoor before 3 October.....

Therefore we could be limited to a crowd of 600 (15% of 4000) rather than 975 (15% of 6500). |

Harlequins v Bath in the Rugby Union Premiership is having a crowd today at the Twickenham Stoop for the first time since the restart as a trial. Let us hope everything goes well as it will undoubtedly have an influence on spectator attendance at all sports. Today 2700 is allowed. The capacity at The Stoop is 14816, so a little under 20% in the all seater stadium. At least The Cabbage Patch will get some much needed rugby clientele before and after the games, though I expect the pub has done quite well with the televised games. The Stoop was the last sports stadium I attended on the very last day of February this year before the March Armageddan. An exciting game with a capacity crowd which saw Quins score with the final play of the game to win 34-30 against Exeter Chiefs. Hell it seems so long ago now! |

I didn't know UEFA was responsible for the 3pm ban. Didn't some championship clubs broadcast their matches at 3pm recently? |

Fixtures out tomorrow, but still no clarity on how many, if any, fans might be allowed in.
Let's hope that the big rise in infection figures for the last two days does not set back plans and let's hope that not many of our fans follow Alpine Joe in actively encouraging the flouting of regulations to keep people safe.
