I get the distinct feeling that the search, budget and unlikelihood of promotion have all pulled in same direction now. We haven’t had any incoming for a while and maybe hoped something would have come of Sinclair Armstrong returning.
We shopped mostly in the bargain basement over the summer, with limited positive returns and got the results that inevitably flow from that.
Does Gary Johnson even mention anymore that we are trying to strengthen? I do hope he doesn’t pack it in this summer. Not convinced he won’t.
Obviously would hope I’m wrong on all the above as there is still the slightest flicker of hope for this season and he is the best Manager we have had for many a year.

We are finished for 2021/22 as far as incoming players are concerned surely? Can only hope GJ chooses not to fritter away the 2022/23 lucre in Poundland! Still wonder why we signed players like Felix?

Still wonder why we signed players like Felix? Johnson have a good record of improving players or maybe taking time for them to adapt to his style of play - look at Martin and Nemane for example, probably too soon to write him off yet. |

I do hope he doesn’t pack it in this summer. Not convinced he won’t. If Johnson does decide to pack it in this summer I hope the opinion over on BTPIR that Downes is the heir apparent is false. We need someone with a proven track record of spotting and improving genuinely talented young players so that they may have a sell on value. Appointing Downes would be a lazy and unambitious step to take and leaves one wondering what the ownership have in mind. |

Still no new signings.Looks like we have settled for just staying up. Disappointing. With a decent striker think we could still make the play offs.
