Shame to see Ruairai move on. A fully committed player who earned respect by never giving less than 100%.
As with always when a player moves on, it is good if we replace him with better but bad if we don't. It will be relatively easy to find someone who looks a better player, but whether they turn out to be a more valuable contributor to the squad will not be so clear-cut.
Statistically, Ruairi's claim to fame is that he is TUFC's 5th most used substitute of all time. Had he stayed another season and a half, he might even have gone on to take Tony Bedeau's crown. But he'll be hoping for regular starts at Gateshead. Good luck to him.
