But a budding historian needs to be careful of quoting unreliable sources as fact:

Oh no he didn't!!!
Stating the obvious - red cards had not been dreamt of in 1933!!!
Was Lievesley the first ever Torquay player to be sent off?? Nowhere near! Sendings-off were not anywhere near as rare back in the day as some might think.
In fact, 108 years ago to the day Wally Cudlipp was sent off for the second time in a week! I don't think even Caldwell or Brabin could match that!
