Can't say much at the moment, have to go and paint the decking at the caravan! It's a pity you don't paint the decking more often! You won't hear much from me either in the next few weeks as the Big One starts today. A glorious festival of Rugby Union in Japan. No ham acting just full blooded sport. Wonderful! Sayonara..... Quite looking forward to this competition and glad to see I am not the only one!

I've always found rugby to be boring. I was made to play it for 5 successive autumn terms at Churston, and the day I left school was the day I ceased to take any interest in it. Still for those that like it, I hope you have an enjoyable few weeks, or however long it takes. I suppose that is it really if you were 'made' to play rugby then the game is obviously not for you. My secondary school did rugby in the first term and football in the second and I thoroughly enjoyed both. I was a little better at football so when I left school it was football I continued to play, but as a spectator I have been a keen follower of both games since I was 11.

England into the final, with the only try for us coming from someone with a more NZ sounding name than any of the NZers! Did make me smile!

Oh dear, it now seems the England team are in trouble for lining up in a V shape when facing the Haka...get me off this planet!

Build up for the final gas begun. A comprehensive win for the Kiwis over Wales yesterday which bodes well for England looking at the relative semi final performances!
Also, the last 2 Saturdays has seen an England win followed by a Torquay win so these things go in threes don’t they?

Bit disappointing but well done South Africa who were the much better team on the day! Yes South Africa won at a canter really but plenty to build on for England over the next 4 years with many young players. Two former Ivybridge RFC players in the World Cup Final squad - Henry Slade (Exeter Chiefs) and Ben Spencer (Saracens). Not bad for a small club only founded in 1987.
