Soon you will be waking up and Christmas day will be all over and you will wonder how come it came and went so fast. Still some will be getting ready to go to Weymouth to give the team their support.
I know there are some Boxing day games we would all want to forget and one that was not so long ago, that really was not a good day at the office was it.
So what Boxing day game was the very best one for you? who did we play and how far had you travelled to get to the game. What was the result and did anything happen on the day, to make it really stand out for you.

Being a Torquay supporter for many years less than many of the "old skool" posters of this board I haven't got that many to choose from other than a load of largely drab Derbies against Exeter! I'm loath to put down what was after all only a 2-2 draw at the GAWS when Logan scored a last minute penalty to send their neanderthal fans incandesant with rage!
One that really does stand-out was the win at Sid James Park on Boxing Day 1993, the first league win there since 1987 and the last until 2001 (although I think we only lost one of those in between)? O'Riordan scoring at the Wells Street Road end (although I was with our other contingent on the Big Bank).
One match that I always think about in relation to Boxing Day is the 2-0 win against Burnley in 1990, but I know someone is going to point-out that it was played on the 28th or 29th! Nevertheless, there wasn't a match on the 26th for us that year. It was so incredibly muddy at Plainmoor, but I remember Paul Smith (who sadly played only a few more times before the leg break that ended his career a few months later at Carlisle) scored in a fine win - Burnely still brought down a huge following at that time of year. We absolutely slaughtered them and were about 10 points clear of 5th place (as wasn't it 4 automatic spots AND the play-off spots that year as a one-off due to league restructuring?). It just seemed at the time that it was a brave new world for us and Dave "The Bard" Smith this young upstart chairman Michael Bateson....... In traditional TUFC fashion it didn't last long, but I was only 13 at the time and I thought that we would march towards Divsion 1!
I'm looking forward to some of the more "experienced" posters telling us of how they went to Home Park, Villa Park or Ashton Gate in some charabanc and we escaped with a creditible draw and everyone survived without broken bones from the angry local partisans!
I wish I could be going to Weymouth on Boxing Day, but will have to make do with Radio Devon via the web (if it works - Capitalgull might have to have a word in their shell-like to make sure they are wired-in!!).

Strangely enough "Ohtobe" my selection isn't too much different to yours - the two 2-2 draws at Argyle in recent years and the win at Exeter, when Don O'Riordan and Darren Moore scored, most come to mind.
The games at Argyle certainly had their moments - 1999 in the open at the Barn Park End in the hail and wind when John Bartlett broke his bell. "The ****ing ****er's ****ing ****ed!" (how we cheered!); 2001 Logan's last minute goal viewed from the new stand.
That 1999/2000 season finished with us above both Plymouth and Exeter - yes, it happened this century!
Other than that a lot of drab stuff - and not just against Exeter. Also, on several occasions during the 1970s and 1980s when I returned to Torquay for Christmas, a fair number of frustrating postponements. In fact, due to circumstances, I've hardly seen a Boxing Day game at Plainmoor in twenty years, but I've always caught one somewhere - Tranmere, Ashington, Sunderland, Paulton Rovers, all sorts of places. But it's Weymouth this year I'm pleased to say.
Ah yes, there was a 0-6 reverse at Home Park in 1969. I still carry the scars so the less said the better....
