Absolutely cracking game tonight with the USA over coming host nation France with a narrow 2-1 score line. Very open game that was end to end and good for the neutral. May have taken a bit out of the USA’s legs on that heat though and could be to our advantage.

It's been a very entertaining tournament. Strange that rjdgull is the only person across all three TUFC forums to post anything about it.

It's been a very entertaining tournament. Strange that rjdgull is the only person across all three TUFC forums to post anything about it. You’re right, it has been a great tournament! My interest in this goes back to the 2012 Olympics where I saw a game at the millennium stadium. I think interest in woman’s football is steadily rising and of course TUFC have a good team and are actively recruiting players and having this tournament on prime time tv will see interest grow even more in this aspect of the sport. Looking forward to the semi at 8pm on Thursday versus USA where I think the winner has a great chance of going on and winning the final as well.

Not a subject I intended posting on. But if you wait until 8pm on Thursday you'll have missed the semi final against the USA by a couple of days.

Does not look like our day - penalty saved, goal off side by inches and now down to ten with two harsh yellows.

There is always someone that lowers the tone but it should not take away from the fact that the lionesses had enough to win that game against the best side in the world but as usually happens in football, if you don’t take your chances in a tight game then you generally lose, I am very proud of our national side, as they gave everything for the cause and really played for their shirts and after that gutting disappointment will be able to hold their heads high.

England wrap up their campaign with the third place play off against Sweden at 16:00 today. Equaliser for England by Ellen White chalked off by VAR in very controversial circumstances as no way is that a clear cut error!

And that decision was the difference between the two sides! 2-1 Final score.
Roll on pre season!

We may not have won the world cup last year but we did win the SheBelieves Cup in the USA last year, a invitational competition of 4 teams. We start our defence against the USA on 5 March but without the Injured Lucy Bronze - link
