Can anybody help me get an image of the old Torquay badge 1970's version.
It's the one that first featured the cross over yellow gull symbol.
It is a shield with TORQUAY UNITED AFC on the bottom of the shield.
The badge appears in the book The Beautiful Game, but the image has the Beautiful Game written across it.
I have e-mailed the book's author and the publisher but neither have responded.
I have also contacted the club and they could not help.
I need it to make a flag.
I attend 4 or 5 away games each season as I am a Forest season ticket holder. I have supported Forest for 56 years and Torquay for 50 years.
I had relatives in Brixham and when on holiday my uncle took me to Torquay games this is how I became a Torquay supporter.
Its 50 years since my first game and I wanted to get a flag made with Forest and Torquay badges on it.
With an away, home game at Meadow Lane next season it would be great to have a Forest Gulls flag there.
