Yep, Jerry makes a good point about the role of VAR and how a marginal decision is enforced and in the Scotland example a poorly taken penalty was reprieved with another clear goal scoring opportunity given as consequence. Rules are the rules though...

link - another consideration to think about during the preseason period are the various rule changes. As Johnson hints at, i can see players moving to the centre circle when about to be subbed and then having to ask the ref which touchline is nearest for fear of being yellow carded ! Then and only then we will get the customary slow trudge while of course applauding the away fans.

link - looks like Liam is out for around a month as he recovers from an elective operation to clear up a niggle, Obviously we do not want the scenario of two years ago where we had someone like Chaney to cover and at least Dickson is very experienced in this area and will be interesting to see how he gets on in this area. It would be nice to know when the Ian Twitchin Trophy will be presented to Davis by TUST for the most appearances last season with him perhaps also being one of our most consistent players - and that is in a good way for once!

Having a drive down for the Buckland game tomorrow. I think the nearest pub is the Keyberry around the corner from Sainsburys but can somebody give clear idiot proof directions to the ground from the Keyberry pub ? Can we gain access through Decoy park or do you have to drive back on the old road towards Torquay ? Last time i saw Buckland was at Homers Lane in Kingsteignton a long time ago !

From The Keyberry pub front door turn left towards Decoy industrial estate and its about a ten minute walk. Go past the estate entrance which is on the right side of the road and virtually opposite the CLS laundry entrance you will find a well signed club entrance on th eright side of the road heading towards Kingskerswell.
