With the Chelmsford postponement, this is the first home game for 4 weeks and technically only the third home game of the year although the away Truro match was held at Plainmoor on New Year’s Day. Hopefully, that will equate to a good size crowd as the home supporter strives for their football fix.
Our form is slightly paradoxical losing two of the last four games which has seen us slip down to 2nd but at the same time having won 12 of the last 14 which had also seen us go to the top of the division. With Dulwich Hamlet just above the relegation zone and us having already won 2-0 in the reverse fixture it is hopeful that we can win this game and win it well.
The weather is set fair here so there shouldn’t be any doubt about the match going ahead as we head into a busy mini period with two mid week games giving us five matches in a fortnight from Saturday, three of them at home.
We will have to do this without Cameron for the first two games due his second sending off of the season. Niate will make a welcome return but with Essuman out on loan have to hope that no injuries are picked up in central defence. We do have a fairly settled starting XI but I suspect that Kalala will make a start ahead of Keating on the wing.

Another test of our character and ability to come back from a disappointing result. Once again we need to get that one out of our system quickly. At least the pitch should be in reasonable condition after a good period of dry weather. Cameron will be a miss hes been so consistent and has organised the back line well. Who comes in ? well the obvious answer is Sendles White and Niate but I guess GJ may even consider Asa Hall. Unlikely but it would free up a place for Vincent in midfield. I can't honestly see GJ tinkering like that but if we lose another central defender to suspension or injury it leaves us pretty thin in that area. I see Kalala starting he offers far more threat when on his game and the firmer flatter conditions will suite his abilities and the way we like to play more. Looking forward to it as usual - no hangovers please.

It all seems to have gone rather flat at the moment! Our mantra of ' it's in our hands now ' of last week, lasted about as long as I would, doing the Horizontal Mambo with Megan Markle! Has the old Torquay curse of ' grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory ' already come to bite us on our arse?

Has the old Torquay curse of ' grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory ' already come to bite us on our arse? It still is in our hands of course but the most important game is the next one. Lovely weather today so looking forward to the game later.

Woke up to heavy fog in Newton Abbot this morning and wondered if it could affect the game going ahead. Reminded me of the times years ago when the sea fog drifted in when you couldn't see past the halfway line or worse. When was the last time that happened? I'm sure I can remember an abandonment. Never seems to happen these days. A good pitch and game today hopefully..

Yes, I remember that fog. It seemed to affect us more when we played evening games though!

Psycho ! Psycho !!! The Cornishman capitalises on some first half additional time to fire the Gulls into a 3-0 lead.

4-0 and we've not even reached half time. Have our visitors from Khan City thrown in the towel ? A boost not only to our goal difference but to confidence as well. Officials need to check that Dulwich go into the away dressing room at half time and don't try to sneak out of Plainmoor and onto their team coach for a quick getaway.
No complaints from me if we take our foot off the gas, throw some subs on, and keep possession in the second half. Although if we're in the mood to continue dishing out punishment to the Londoners, it'll make the highlights an even more enjoyable watch.

When I tuned in the game was stopped while a replacement linesman was being found from among the crowd. Someone will give us a fuller story no doubt.

Why was there so much time added on? Jamie Reid's goal was showing as 45+10, although that's now been adjusted to 45+8. Because someone from Popside had to take over as linesman.

We'd never have conceded these two soft goals if Samir Nabi had been in the team. Sort it out Johnson !!!
5-2

Firs half we were absolutely on it with every player playing performing and reflected in the halftime score line. Some great wide play from Kalala who mesmerised defenders and was my MOM. Two apiece for Janneh and Reid and fully deserved. Dulwich never had a shot on target and looked rather shell shocked but rallied somewhat and scored from a debatable penalty and one sloppy moment of defending in the second half. Fantastic entertainment once again and confirmed that when were really on it and firing on all cylinders nobody can live with us at this level. Some great individual performances today and credit to Dulwich Hamlet who undoubtedly raised their game and had one or two very decent players. Vincent who came on for Kalala, and who y went off to a rapturous applause, struggled to get into the game and looked lightweight. Was hoping for a clean sheet today and the game followed a very familiar pattern where we score loads only for the opposition to rally and get a couple back. I firmly believe that's down to our style of play and tactics of which are simple in the extreme - high tempo, total commitment, press the opposition in all areas of the pitch for as long as your legs hold out and score as many as you can. There's no going negative or defensive or trying to close the game out with negative tippie-tappie football it just wont happen. Personally I love the philosophy it makes for fantastic entertainment but the tactic can put you on edge at times when goals start to pop in at the wrong end. Whether it would work at a higher level remains to be seen but believe we would have to have that side of our game at our disposal when it needs to be called on. The crowds are back and the entertainment levels as high as they have ever been for many seasons. How can any football lover not go and watch this?
