It seems the BBC covered today's game live over the local airwaves. Did they provide an alternative commentary team or use the excellent coverage available to all on the clubs own radio station? Driving to the game they were certainly showing more interest than usual, including clips from Manager, Chairman and a three way debate with Chis Fleet, Dave Thomas and Alan Richardson regarding Chairman Clarke Osbourne. Probably a one off review of the last 12 months rather than a U-turn. Regardless, Worth a listen from 12 mins & 40 secs; BBC RADIO DEVON 01/01/2019

They did it live today. Apparently lost coverage during our second and third goals.

Thanks for that an interesting listen. I got to the ground at two to get a good seat and saw Dave Thomas get his head set on for this and wrongly thought he was going to commentate. Some entrenched positions there amongst the panel, a bit like reading this forum sometimes I think Radio Devon took the decision that it was not worth their while to give us the coverage at our level and make some useful savings but now we are at the top of the table and getting league like attendances that is looking like a poor call. I suspect they are anticipating us back in the NL next year and reinstating us as part of the full commentary package again and perhaps trying to slowly build up to this. Would be great if we make spotlight again as well.

Screw the bloated biased corporation, bare face liars, extortion experts, public hating thieves. I should leave this type of thing to Alpine as he is much better at it than me! I hold the BBC in such contempt that it actually hurts!

I’m curious to know if they paid their £20 and utilised our own commentators? I think Steve Mulhearn and Chris Fleet were used as commentary and summariser for BBC. I couldn’t make it to the game yesterday, but was listening to the TUFC Radio one. It was a good piece in that link that you put up and well worth a listen. DT may as well be given a scarf and a rattle for every time he hears Osborne’s name, though. He is quite painful to listen to on that subject after all the guff and sporadic Stadia 2020 exclusive nonsense DT treated us to last season as we plummeted out of the Conference. Both sets of commentators/summarisers do a good job. But I’m never quite sure when the BBC opt to cover us these days as it’s online commentary from afar for me, rather than Radio Devon being on the radio.

Given their track record and inability to tell the truth is it worth reading?
