I’ve taken the much vaunted elevated position today and from on high it looked like the player was flying through the air before contact was made with MacDonald for the penalty. We seemed to wake up straight after with a well worked goal and a finish made to look easy by our man in form. We are better than them, but they are more up for it.

Disappointed so far with Andrews who has overhut a fair share of passes and Lumbombo Kalala, who has drifted out of the game after a bright start. Davis has his work cut out with Kalala in front of him. Davis coping admirably, though. I’d get a third centre-back on, take Kalala and Wynter off, and stick Edwards at RWB and Davis at LWB if no improvement.

Great movement up front between Janneh and Reid who look like a proper partnership. Evans looks like he generally does. At least a League above.

But level at Basingstoke not good enough. Sort it out, Johnson. He will.

Are we a bit lightweight in midfield?

I would try Sendles-White as a holding midfielder, taking off Keating and going 3-5-2.
