I see we have pulled out of this one claiming fixture congestion.
What I cannot understand is why on earth we arranged this one for the day after the FA Youth Cup.
There were plenty of other dates we could have gone for. We knew we were in the Youth Cup and the dates for that.
It is obviously the right decision not to play it on that date, but frustrating that nobody had the common sense to foresee this clash - when it was bleeding obvious. Reminds me of the fiasco over whether we were entering the Peninsula League or not.
A chance missed to give some regular bench sitters 90 minutes, look at a few trialists / local players, ease some players back from injury and give a few of our best youth players a taste of senior football.
