I would like to draw the weakest team left at home on the basis the win money and TV fees are useful - the main thing is to progress through to R 3 if we can?

I can see a few teams in the draw in the step below us (7th), would be happy with a home draw against any non league team. We got to the fourth round (against Coventry at home) with Buckle while in the National League to win four ties in this competition and would be good to emulate that run if at a lower level.

We won four ties in 1910/11. We won five ties in 1921/22, 1923/24 and 1925/26. In 1921/22 we actually won six games if you count the abandoned match with Spencer Moulton. Still some way to go to match those games in the 1920s. Probably at a relatively similar level the club was at almost a century ago... |

Probably at a relatively similar level the club was at almost a century ago... 1921 Minehead, Frome, Spencer Moulton (after game abandoned at 2-0 up caused a near riot at Plainmoor), Bristol St. George's (who had received a walkover over Torquay Town in the extra-preliminary round!) and Hanham Athletic. Lost to Boscombe - who of course are now in the Premier League. 1923 Newtons and Taunton, Green Waves, Coleford Athletic, Trowbridge and Yeovil. Lost to mid-table Division Three South Aberdare Athletic after a replay (Don't worry we will get revenge). 1925 Green Waves, Taunton United, Kingswood, Mid Rhonnda and Yeovil. Lost to Reading after two replays. Reading were champions of Division Three South that season - pipping Argyle by one point! |

Home draw and winnable though bound to be a bigger and sterner test than we had up until now. Should be a good crowd and a feisty contest.
Was dreading a Newport away sort of draw like we usually get.
