Winchester beat Cirencester 3-0 at home on Saturday - first time in 64 years they have made this round.

Round that up to £50k as we got £1k for having BBC red button coverage at Lymington. It’s a nice draw, this. With the same professionalism we have seen thus far under Johnson, we should be making the first round proper again.

About time we had some good fortune and decent draws though as we all know to well, nothing in this game is a gimme. I well remember getting a 2-5 tanking by Yeovil Town at Plainmoor, in the early nineties when our situations were the reverse of what they are currently. £50k is not to be sniffed at and who knows what lies ahead in this competition if we can possibly reach the big boys in the third round. Suddenly there's an air of professionalism and justified optimism around the place. I wonder why?

Taunton in the hat with a good draw away to Billericay today. I’d take Met Police at home, please.

I see we are ball number 72 in the draw with the round played the weekend following the Billericay game on 10 November: - link
