A 2-1 win in our only previous visit to Slough for an FA Cup tie 25 years ago.
Would take that again. We need a win to compensate for Tuesday's disappointment - a loss and a win is better than two draws.
Be interesting to see if we stick with three centre backs or go to a flat back four. I would definitely go with the latter if Essuman is still out, but open-minded if he is fit. Sokolik will be out for a while and I would definitely want Hall in midfield.
Either way, we have to get more zip into our front line. Owers has talked about playing three up top - how about Williams free behind Keating and Wright? Or if four at the back, how about some width from Bawling and / or Banton?

So today we face the mighty Slough Town...and already, we're wondering if we can beat them! I think the total lack of charisma from our manager is rubbing off on all of us...I'm falling asleep as I type this! 0.0 draw! I do have an endearing memory of Slough though. Having recently returned from doing porridge in Aus I happened to be driving in Slough when I noticed a rather attractive young woman walking along the pavement next to me. Suddenly, a gust of wind lifted her skirt...and there it was...'a bum like a peach!' Something I hadn't seen in a long time...although there was this guy in three yard shower! Anyway, the girl turned and smiled at me...then I hit the car in front!

Not sure if there will be a reaction of some sort today. Cant say I'm overly optimistic but if we are to get anything out of the game today or any game for that matter we must start with a higher pressing tempo. Every game i've watched we have been left at the starting blocks and under pressure, usually for the majority of the first half. This has to change and hopefully a more attacking formation will be employed.

We played better (so I read) against Oxford in the second half, start with that formation I guess and stop the hoofball!

Anyway, onto the match, team sheet is out and Bass makes his first start for us! - link the good news is that Essuman is back but no sign of Keating and I assume he is injured?

Todays team and bench. Reid starts and Bass comes in for MacDonald - no sign of Ruairi Keating. Make of it what you will - personally not impressed but I just don't know what to make of it all any more.
Bass; Wynter, Niate, Essuman, Cameron, Davis; Dickson, Hall, Nabi; Williams, Reid Subs: Macdonald, Regis, Banton, Wright, Bawling

Should have lost - pen in the last few minutes saved by Bass. Hopeless in front of goal.
NOTHING HAS CHANGED FROM LAST SEASON WHY?
