World Cup fever seems to have hit the country with even our PSF providing little distraction to watching to see how Southgate and co go about preparing for what has been an once in a generation event.
Great chance to get through to the final but again it will be close and can go either way....

Either way as you say rjd. Modric on his day could destroy us.
On the other hand we can perform much better than we did against Sweden even though the job was done.
Could have been a different story had Pickford not been switched on and in incredible form. This will be another cagey give "nothing away " game for certain.
Pretty even odds I would guess and if we do get to the final would be second favorites to the French who look a complete unit.
Whatever happens this has been an incredible tournament that no one could have predicted.

2-1 loss. Not to be, that is football but overall a good campaign.

Ah well back to domestic lower league football disappointment now.
Perhaps the London ambulances will be safe from the nationalist anthem singing football loving Brexiters tonight or may be not.

Disappointing not to make it to the final, but overall the players have acquitted themselves much better than most have expected. If we'd been able to get a second goal during a period of dominance during that first half....but it's easy to look back and wonder what might have been. Good luck to Croatia in the final.
